We are located in the Robert-Piloty-Building S2|02 of the Department of Computer Science of TU Darmstadt (on the third floor of section E of the building), see the box above for the postal address. If you get lost, please call our secretary by phone +49 - 6151 / 16-25374 if you are on your way towards us before noon. Or use the detailed instructions below.

Getting to us from the Autobahn (A5, A67) if you are arriving by car. At the motorway intersection "Autobahnkreuz Darmstadt" take the exit "Ausfahrt Darmstadt/Stadtmitte" and follow the main street "Rheinstrasse". This street runs in a tunnel under the center of the city. After leaving the tunnel follow the "cityring". At about the second major intersection turn right into the "Alexanderstrasse". Turn left a the first street into "Magdalenenstrasse". At the end of this street at "Kantplatz" turn left into "Hochschulstrasse". At the end of this street you see the entrance to a park, the "Herrngarten". In front of you on the right side is the Robert-Piloty-Building S2|02 of the university (Hochschulstr. 10) located. You will find us on the third floor in section E of the building. Please be aware that public parking spots are extremely limited in the Hochschulstrasse and surrounding area. Therefore we recommend to use the public underground parking lots "Schlossgarage/Karolinenplatz" or "Darmstadtium" (see map).

Getting to us from the Frankfurt International Airport if you arriving by plane). The AirLiner is a special, direct bus line operated by HEAG connecting the Frankfurt airport and Darmstadt. Busses leave about every half hour during the day from the airport's bus station no. 14 to Darmstadt and stop, e.g., at the main railway station ("Hauptbahnhof") and in front of the Darmstadtium (about 200m from our offices). The way from the main railway station to us is described above. Several taxi companies can get you from the Frankfurt Airport to the Piloty Building within 17 minutes. Currently, in 2022, taxi companies such as Das Yellow Cab or Takeme2Airport offer a deal for about 40 Euros if you prebook your taxi (for comparison, if you use the meter, it costs about 60-70 Euros). Do not take the train from the airport, it will take much longer than the buses, especially than the airliner.

Getting to us from the main railway station (aka Hauptbahnhof). In front of the main station are a number of bus and tramway stops. Many lines in the direction of the city center stop after a few minutes at the "Willy-Brandt-Platz" (e.g., tram number 5 with direction "Kranichstein Bahnhof" or bus number K with direction "TU Lichtwiese/Mensa"). From there you can walk easily through the Herrngarten park to the Robert-Piloty-Building (see map). Getting to us from the "Luisenplatz" and the main pedestrian zone of the city center is straightforward on foot within a few minutes. Starting at Luisenplatz, please walk to the Ernst-Ludwigs-Platz and across the Friedensplatz to the Zeughausstrasse. Please cross at the pedestrian lights and walk through the Herrngarten to the Robert-Piloty-Building S2|02, Hochschulstr. 10. Tickets can be bought at the ticket machine at the tramway or bus stops and also inside many trams and from the bus driver. A one way ticket costs about 1€ - 3€ (as of spring 2022).
