Henrik Metternich joined the Institute for Intelligent Autonomous Systems (IAS) at TU Darmstadt as a Ph.D. student in May 2026.

Before his PhD, Henrik Metternich completed his Master Degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the Technische Universitaet Darmstadt. His thesis entitled “Value-based Reinforcement Learning via Mode Connectivity" was written under the supervision of Jan Peters, Carlo D'Eramo, and Ahmed Hendawy.
