Maritza Elizabeth Palacios Morocho joined the Intelligent Autonomous System lab on June, 1st, 2023 as a research visitor, currently doing her PhD at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. Her research will cover, among others, deep reinforcement learning, transfer learning for robotics, vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I ) communication, autonomous and remote driving, and 5th-generation networks. During her PhD, Maritza Elizabeth Palacios Morocho is working on the application of low latency 5G networks in multi-user knowledge transfer.

Before her PhD, Maritza Elizabeth Palacios Morocho completed her Master’s Degree in Communication Technologies, Systems, and Networks at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. Her thesis, "Deployment of mobility services over 5th Generation Network," was about 5th generation network deployment and remote driving use case development where latency testing and network parameter adjustments were performed to improve network performance. This thesis was written under the supervision of Prof. Dr. José Francisco Monserrat Del Río.
