Rukang Xu joined the Intelligent Autonomous Systems Group at TU Darmstadt in September 2023 as a Research Assistant. He is working as a Computer Vision and Robotics Engineer on the Visual Robot Programming project.
Previously, he obtained a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Visual SLAM and sensor fusion. He wrote his Master’s thesis on “Improving Markerless Hand Tracking using Software-Synchronized Visual-Inertial Odometry” under the supervision of Suman Pal, Vignesh Prasad, and Jan Peters.
