Ken Simmoteit joined the Intelligent Autonomous System Lab as a PhD student on July 15, 2025.
He is currently working on stable imitation learning using generative models and manifold theory.
Prior to his PhD, Ken Simmoteit completed his master's degree in Mechatronics and Information Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and worked at the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence (BCAI) in the field of robot learning. There, he also wrote his thesis entitled “Neural Contractive Robot Learning With Full-Body Obstacle Avoidance on Riemannian Manifolds” under the supervision of Prof. Rania Rayyes, Dr. Philipp Schillinger, and Dr. Leonel Rozo.
If you are interested in similar topics, I am always looking for collaborations or thesis supervision. So please do not hesitate to contact me.
