Yichen Cai

Yichen Cai joined the Intelligent Autonomous System lab on September, 1st, 2024 as a PhD student. He is working on informed exploration in Reinforcement Learning via intuitive physics model reasoning for robot manipulation.

Before his PhD, Yichen Cai completed his Master Degree in Mechatronics and Information Technology at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. His thesis entitled "Learning Category-Level Task-Oriented Grasping and Rearrangement from Human Demonstrations" was written under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamim Asfour.
